Day 1: Arrive DelhiOn arrival stay at The Taj Mahal Hotel for a 3 night stay. Afternoon sightseeing tour of New Delhi.

Day 2: DelhiMorning sightseeing of Old Delhi and rickshaw ride. Afternoon at leisure with car and driver at disposal.

Day 3: Delhi – VaranasiToday fly to one of India’s oldest and holiest cities. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath, where Gautama Buddha preached his first sermon. Evening boat ride to witness the Aarti Ceremony. Overnight stay at The Gateway Hotel Ganges.

Day 4: Varanasi – MumbaiReturn to the Ghats for a sunrise cruise on the River Ganges. Afternoon fly to Mumbai for a 2 night stay at The Taj Mahal Palace and Towers Hotel.

Day 5: MumbaiMorning explore the sights of India’s commercial capital which is hugely spread out and is replete with Victorian architecture. Remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 6: Mumbai – UdaipurAn early morning flight to Udaipur and a 2 night stay at the ‘floating’ Taj Lake Palace Hotel. Afternoon tour of the city and City Palace.

Day 7: Udaipur – Ranakpur – UdaipurFull day excursion to the exceptional Jain Temples at Ranakpur. Lunch will be at the Mana Hotel.

Day 8: Udaipur – JaipurMorning drive to Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan. Stay 2 nights at Taj Rambagh Palace. Remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 9: JaipurMorning drive past the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) and continue to Amber Fort. Ascend to this hilltop fort by elephant back. After lunch explore the City Palace and Jantar Mantar Observatory.

Day 10: Jaipur – AgraMorning drive to Agra via one of India’s most glorious sites – the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri. On arrival in Agra, stay 1 night at the The Gateway Hotel Fatehabad Road. Sunset visit to the enchanting Taj Mahal monument. Evening at Leisure.

Day 11: Agra – DelhiReturn to The Taj Mahal at sunrise and then visit Agra Fort. Continue by road to Delhi to stay at The Taj Palace Hotel.

Day 12: Depart DelhiEarly morning departure for onward destination.  *Ask us about our special departure featuring the spectacular Pushkar Camel Fair.
